My wonderful grandmother

My husband's grandmother Jean is so dear to me. I never knew my biological grandparents so when I married into two wonderful sets, I have finally felt complete. Jean is the nicest, most wonderful person you could ever meet and just knowing her makes me a better person. She has gone through a lot in her 85 years, losing many of her loved ones at various stages in her life. The year I met my husband in 1997, she lost her daughter to Crohn's disease which was devastating. I never had the honor of meeting her daughter because I met my husband later that year. She said the most wonderful thing to me today which I will never forget. She told me that she wonders if God had brought me into Andy's life to help fill the void of losing her daughter. I of course started bawling like a baby. I am so touched that I mean so much to her and I of course think the world of her too. It's just great to really come to terms with how much our loved ones mean to us.

She's having some medical problems right now and has been in a lot of pain so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

This photo was taken two years ago on Easter Sunday and I will treasure it forever:

Wallies!

Wallies are cute wallpaper die-cuts that you can adhere to the wall, similar to borders but not as 80's and cheesy. There are some really cute items on their site, especially for kids rooms! I have a giant palm tree wallie in the boys' room that is really cute. Check out these for ideas and inspiration.

I just love art in every different form. I think if I wasn't a photographer I could be a kids room designer or a pastry chef. Those sound random but both things I'd love to do! Then my photography would come in handy because I could take photos of my work. :)

Adam and Stacy

My first wedding of the year and what a perfect couple! I had it in my head that I was going to ROCK this wedding and woke up to blowing wind and snow on the ground! It was unreal... wasn't it just 75° the other day? It was FREEZING out but Stacy and Adam were such troopers and were up for going outside. Despite the less than perfect weather, the wedding was AMAZING! Stacy works for Regis and Adam is the head chef at the Lost Spur Golf Course so what could be better than fabulous hair and good eats?! Both of their families were so warm and loving, it was truly a wonderful day.

Congratulations you two! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day.

Sophia

You may remember Sophia from the pumpkin patch pictures last Fall. I can't believe how big she's gotten! She did so well with her session and you can see from the photos she's just a mellow happy little girl! I am so in love with her eyelashes!

It's wedding season!

I'm shooting my first wedding of the year on Saturday and I am SO EXCITED! I'm really pumped to start the season out and switch things up a bit. I picked up a great new prop today and I may just try to use it on Saturday if things work out. Check back to see!

I've had a crazy past couple of days so I feel like I've been MIA but I've been out and about taking care of everything, including grocery shopping the other night at 10:30 pm! Yes, crazy I know, but that was the only time I could get it done. I also managed to get my hair done (which was in desperate need) and do a tiny bit of shopping. I am in desperate need for a new Spring/Summer wardrobe! I can't wait for this blah weather to clear up and for it to get sunny again!

OK, I better go to bed!

Mother's Day Present

I just found out I'm getting a MacBook for Mother's Day! Yeah, my husband and I don't keep many surprises. Not to mention, he wouldn't know which one to pick out. He just knew I wanted a laptop and if it were up to him and not knowing any better, he'd probably get me a PC. HA! Technically, it's a business purchase but pick a holiday and call it a present and it works for me! I am not going to splurge and get a MacBook Pro because I just want something basic since it won't be my main computer. Yay! I'm so excited! This will be so great to be able to get work done and not keep my boys trapped inside all summer. Plus, it will come in handy for my Mexico trip in just a few weeks!

Some women like flowers and chocolates... I like Apples!
