It's a BOY!!!!!

It's 12:25 am. I just got home from the most wonderful experience. I got to witness another child birth! Lorenzo Don Ramos was born at 10:01 pm and was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 20 inches long. It was the most awesome moment to hear those words we were all hoping for, "It's a boy!" The nurse shouted it out and we all cheered! My cousin Myra and I started bawling and hugged. The emotions were intense, I loved every minute of it!

I got to the hospital around 4:30 pm. Tesa's water had been broken and she was on Pitocin. The nurse kept upping the levels of Pitocin while we were there. It seems as though she was stalled at 3-4 cm for a few hours but then she went from 5 cm to 9 cm within a matter of a half an hour or so! The doctor came to check on her when she was at 5 cm and left to perform a C-section and by the time she got back, Tesa was a complete 10 cm and held off on pushing while she waited for the doctor. Tesa did some practice pushes with the nurse and pushed through about 4 or 5 sets of contractions with the doctor and he was out! It was so cute because Tesa missed her girls and clutched onto a framed photograph of them. Her mom ended up bringing them by around 8 pm and it was so cute to see them interact with their mom.

Tesa, Paul, and baby Lorenzo are doing GREAT and Paul is so happy that he got his boy. Congratulations to the family! I am so honored to be part of your wonderful day!

I love the photo of everyone cheering- that was right after the nurse announced it was a boy. The quality of the photo isn't great because I was bawling and half-shaking, but the moment was phenomenal. I decided to experiment with texture in a few of the photos. Sorry for the rambling, it's late and I'm running on PURE adrenaline!

Introducing... Sophia Clare Weis!

I just witnessed the most amazing thing today... the birth of my new niece Sophia! My sister's labor progressed very rapidly, so I barely made it to the hospital in time. I was told she was at 7 cm when I was on my way there and half and hour later I walked into her room and she was pushing! I got there at 4:05 and she was born at 4:23 pm. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19 inches long. She is the most beautiful thing ever and I am so touched that I got to be in the room. My sister and Jeff are both doing great and have that proud new parent glow.

Moments after she was delivered:

Proud new dad held her hand while she was getting her tests done:

All cleaned up after her first bath!

That is a smile!

I will have more pics tomorrow of my boys meeting their new cousin for the first time!
