Holiday weekend...

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed the extended weekend! I know I sure did! I had Thursday and Friday "off" but of course had a busy weekend with shoots and Pictures with Santa! We also moved downstairs into our new master bedroom suite which means I will have my new office soon! I just need to paint it and buy all of the furniture... not sure when I'll have time for that! I am so excited! Any good Black Friday deals? While the shoppers were being crazy, I was warm and cozy in my bed sleeping in!

It is going to be a SUPER busy week for me. I am frantically trying to get galleries up, fill CD orders, Christmas card orders, editing, etc. I am also shooting my last wedding of the year this Saturday! Please, please, please know that I am working as fast as I can on getting everything to you in a timely manner.

I have an amazing family who won my Thanksgiving contest for free photos. I was literally bawling my eyes out reading their nomination and am so touched, inspired, and in awe by everything that they have overcome. I can't wait to work with them and capture some beautiful photos of their family.

Little bits of joy...

Who knew such little canisters could bring me such great joy? Next to photography, baking is probably one of my favorite activities. I picked these up at the store this evening and they may as well be lenses lined up (only much cheaper!) that's how excited I am to use them!

Cheers to the holiday baking season! I have lots of plans for these little guys!

Pictures with Santa!

Just a reminder... I am doing pictures with Santa this Saturday as well as head shots. Hope to see you there!

Molly and Todd

Molly and Todd... what can I say? I had such a great time at this wedding! First of all they were a gorgeous couple to photograph, second of all they were so laid back and fun that it made my job nothing like work at all!

I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites, there was so much emotion and fun events that happened throughout the day.

There was this amazing barn right behind the church...

Molly's bridesmaid blinged out her bouquet!

It was FREEZING out, but the wedding party were troopers!
Girly moments in the bride's room!
Some mother/daughter time before Molly walked down the aisle... Molly kept saying, "Don't make me cry!" It was such a touching moment, I was trying not to tear up as well.
I love this photo of Molly's dad! I don't think he stopped smiling all day long!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Bye!
A quick stop for some refreshments...
The cake got a lot of laughs from the guests!
I love this series! Her dress was absolutely perfect- and look at her dad's smile again!
A big thank you to both families for having me!

Lauren

What a doll! I'm sure Lauren's mom is used to hearing that everywhere she goes! I loved the clothes she brought and Lauren just sat there and looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes! She was so sweet, before she left she wanted me to read her a book so she sat in my lap while I read her a story. I don't think she wanted to leave and I could have taken her picture all day long!

It's all about the hat...

Aidan gave me a 5 minute session today after his hat arrived at our door. That's all it took!

Cool things I've found...

These were both found on Wrapables.com. I went to The Container Store last night to take advantage of my Oprah coupon and saw these awesome clothespins on display and HAD to have them. A worker told me that those were 1 of 5 things in the store that weren't for sale! Of course as soon as I got home I had to Google them and found them on this site for $9.99! They're 6 inches long, big and chunky, and even have mounting hardware on the back so you could mount them to the wall. I bought two sets and am going to mount them on the wall in my office. Then I'm going to clip my boys' artwork up on the wall with them.

I also found these cute little grass pets! It comes with the animal and seeds to plant. I thought they might be a cute kids gift. I LOVE how you can "do" their hair!

The blog suffers...

I am at the peak of my crazy season so unfortunately, I haven't had time to blog anything. I have 3 more weddings this winter, x number of sessions, and CD and holiday card orders rolling in each day. It's also a busy time of meeting with potential brides so I'm just getting hit from all angles! It's so AWESOME that my little business is doing so well! I truly appreciate all of your support.

It makes me so sad not to be able to show off recent photos (there's at least a dozen sessions that I haven't posted!), but I need to stay caught up as I know many of you are counting on holiday deadlines. I'm also sad that I haven't had the time to check my blog list either... I feel so out of touch with fellow photographers, friends, and family.

What's a blog post without at least one photo? This was a recent capture that I thought was just too cute not to share.

Did I mention that these vintage papers would look fabulous on canvas? Contact me for canvas prices.

I had no immediate plans...

on doing any photos of my boys until....

I just discovered THESE!!! I showed them to the boys and they both said that they would wear them for pictures. Aidan actually said that he would wear it "all the time!"

I'm so excited... it just makes me smile thinking about it. Seriously... the cuteness is just too much!

Vintage Papers... new!

New for this holiday season! I cannot tell you how EXCITED I am about these! I am so in love with vintage and couldn't be happier to be offering these. The colors and patterns are so beautiful and full of style. Photos always make great gifts for the holidays, but these are such a step up from ordinary prints! Pick up an ornate frame and the look is complete! Please see samples below of the finished product. The frames featured are from Target. These would be great as a series hung on the wall.

3 easy steps to ordering:

1. Choose a paper and border combination.
2. Email me with your file number(s) and paper/border choices. Please title email: "Vintage paper order" Please indicate if you want color or black and white photos.
3. I will upload your finished photos to a gallery where they will be ready to order. Pay by credit card and the prints will ship to your home!

Please note- print sizes measure from edge of paper border not photo size.
