Kayo and Scott

We shot Kayo and Scott's engagement session at Sucker Lake Park in Vadnais Heights. This park has so many special meanings to them. Not only do they frequent the park but they and both of their parents live very close by. Scott grew up at this park and has fond memories of running around as a little kid with his mom so there really wasn't a question as to where their engagement photos would be shot. I love when a location has so much meaning!

Unfortunately, we didn't have beautiful Spring weather instead we got a wet dreary day complete with drizzle. We managed to get the shoot done because I happened to be up in the area for another shoot and Kayo and Scott are rock stars and wanted to give it a try despite the rain. I think it went great and I honestly didn't think we'd get more than a few shots. We each had umbrellas and I only carried one camera body and one lens for fear of getting all of my gear wet. It was kind of exciting and we were all up for the challenge!

Kayo and Scott will be getting married next month at the Calhoun Beach Club. I'm so excited to shoot there!
