New Upstairs!

Well, work on the house is nearly complete. I wanted to show you a few pictures of the new transformation! We're really excited, number one, we've never had nice things of our own, mostly hand-me-down furniture. Number two, we've had the ugliest, dirtiest carpet since we bought the house 7 years ago. It was old when we bought it and we even got a carpet allowance when we signed the agreement and haven't gotten around to it until now! The new floor also extends into the kitchen where we used to have ugly blue/white checkered vinyl. Number three, I was just so excited to design a cool, new room to hang out in. For years we've been embarrassed to have people over because everything was so crappy.

So here are a few pics- my husband did an amazing job on the floor! Before, it was ugly beige shag carpeting from 1980. He installed beautiful #2 white oak floors. Look at all of the color variation, I love it!

We got all new furniture, painted, and I put up grasscloth on the big main wall. I have yet to put up a photo frame gallery and we still need a dining room set, but hopefully we'll wrap everything up soon.

So yeah... this is what we've been so busy doing the past couple of weeks! Now things are pretty much back to normal again and we're loving our new update.
