Change, change, change

First of all.... who is this kid?!?!

Aidan got his hair chopped off today! I haven't had much time to get used to it, but I think I like it. However, I keep seeing him from the back and FREAKING out thinking he's a shrunken Owen. I seriously could not recognize him as I ran into him around the house this evening.

My stylist was great and put some of his hair into a little ponytail, cut it off, and let me take the ponytail home. She also didn't mind me taking photos of the big event! Aidan seems indifferent about it all. Before he got it cut, he told me he liked it long, but after the cut he said he liked it short! What does a 3 year old care anyway?

Another big change today was that I got a new vehicle. Well, a "new to me" vehicle, it's actually four years old. I traded in my car that I have had and loved for 5 years and now have an SUV. My car had served me well but was starting to show some need for investments including tabs, new tires, service work, etc. Plus, with the need for new tires, it's been horrible in the snow and I simply haven't felt safe driving it, especially with two young children in the car. We decided it was time to trade it in and get something with more cargo room and available seating. I was truly sad to say goodbye to my car but knew it was the right decision. So, it's been a slightly emotional day for me!

My new ride- the boys are thrilled, they love SUV's!

On a side note- I have never experienced buying a brand new car. All of my vehicles have been pre-owned at least two years old. Not that I by any means feel gypped, but I think that most people experience that "new car smell" at least once in their lifetime. I wonder if I ever will?

Nice RIDE! I totally know that feeling about the car thing! I went from driving a 93 plymouth acclaim forever, and then I bought an 04 Saab. BIG difference, and boy its NEW to me! Have a good one, shawny
