Introducing baby Grace!

It is such an amazing thing to see a family grow before your eyes. Sarah & Dave welcomed beautiful baby Grace just two weeks ago. They decided to be surprised about the gender and Dave got to announce it was a girl when she came out! I could not be happier for them and she is the perfect little angel. It was so great to spend time with them at their home and watch them soak up every little bit of new-ness of her.

She's even adorable when she cries and makes a pouty lip! :)
Dave is the proudest new daddy!

This bassinet has been passed down from generation to generation and it is estimated that about 30 family members have once slept in it!

Congratulations S&D! She is amazing.

Kacie & Reid | 2 year and newborn

I got an email from one of my regular clients saying she just had a baby yesterday and wanted to schedule some photos. What?? I just shot her photos last fall and didn't even know she was pregnant! What a fun surprise! I shot the session when Reid was just one week old in the comfort of their own home.

Kacie is a big sister now but she didn't mind playing out in the yard. I don't think this "new baby" thing phases her yet.

Reid was a big 9 lb. baby boy and slept the entire time I was there.

I love the scrunchy newborn faces!

Rock on!
Congratulations once again!

Oliver's Birth Announcement

This is Oliver's official birth announcement. I found this hat on Etsy and fell in love. I spent a week brainstorming what to do with the announcement, then it hit me! Since it was a cupcake hat, the birth announcement HAD to be a recipe card! I was so excited, I had it designed in one night while I was still pregnant. I photographed him when he was just 4 days old.

See the white blanket? Well, originally I intended for him to be naked in the photograph, but two minutes into shooting he decided to poop! He was so content and I didn't want to disrupt the peace (I had spent all morning getting him happy!), so I just kept shooting and folded up the blanket to cover the mess. Now that's a story to tell him someday. :)

Here are a few shots taken when he was 6 days old. He's still a bit jaundiced in the photos.

This shot is truly a gem. He was sleeping on the couch and I happened to have my camera sitting there. I picked it up to get a shot of him sleeping and he suddenly smiled like crazy! I think he was having a good dream!
The boys love having him around and are always asking to hold him. Aidan especially loves to cuddle with him. They've been such good helpers and they look forward to playing with him when he gets a bit older.
Life at home with Oliver has been great so far! He's a very good baby and is pretty much only fussy when he's hungry. Feeding him, however, has been a full-time job! It's been 6 years since I've taken care of a newborn and I forget how demanding their schedule is. I thought they were supposed to sleep all of the time? :) I don't have much time between feedings and being sleep deprived so the computer, dishes, and everything else just has to wait!

Thanks for sticking with me and I'll try to update more often (as my schedule allows). Thanks for all of the well wishes! We are truly blessed to have him!

A little behind... *chuckle*

I found this on eBay to use for my own baby, but I couldn't resist using it at a recent newborn shoot. More of baby Adrian soon!

Kenley | Newborn Studio Session

Jamie and I have known each other for 10 years and met working at Ameriprise. We've been through a lot over the years, marriage, buying houses, and kids (me). Jamie recently welcomed her first child Kenley! I am so excited for her to be a mom.

Kenley was pretty serious during her first photo shoot but we managed to get a few smiles out of her.

Big sister Lucy came along and enjoyed a little nap between outfit changes.

Congratulations to the new family!

Adelaide and Elena

Adelaide is a new big sister! Elena came 11 days early but was still a little peanut when I photographed her.

Sweet, sweet baby!
Love this.

Mylie and the dudes! - indoor/outdoor Lonsdale session

Mylie's family just welcomed identical twins Grady and Drake! Mylie affectionately calls her new little brothers, "the two dudes!" They are soooo cute and sweet and I fell in love with them! They brought along a whole entourage to help them out with the shoot... I was exhausted just watching all of the action! I congratulate them and their beautiful family!
