It's just sad because we're just watching him slowly go downhill. I have a feeling that sooner rather than later, we'll have to come to some sort of decision.

Cherokee
This is a tribute to our dog, Cherokee. We think that he is probably in his last stage of life. He is a gigantic 8 year old, 100 lb. Alaskan Malamute and his hips are going out. The vet said that there is nothing we can do and his size is the biggest problem. He told us that he is the biggest Malamute he has ever seen in all his years working as a vet! He also has a big cyst on his side that can only be surgically removed. He was our first baby. Andy and I got him the year before we were married. Once you have kids and life gets busy, the animals sort of take a seat on the back burner.

Awwww. He is beautiful. I have 2 female alaskan malamutes and they are such amazing dogs.
I hope you have many more incredible days with him.
I'm so sorry to hear that Cherokee isn't doing well. Watching your "furry child" go downhill is heartbreaking and I'm so sorry that you have to go through that.
